Hello everybody!

I am excited to announce that I have been invited to the 2011 Canaveral Seashore Paintout in October. It's just south of New Smyrna Beach, Oct 24-29, see website and details here.

Some excerpts from the site: "See 26 of the finest plein air artists from Florida and New England paint the Seashore and historic downtown New Smyrna Beach. Watch as they capture the beauty of our local landscapes. Attend free demos by the artists. Visit the wet room galleries to view and purchase paintings "wet off the easel". Every day artists will be creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces on locations at Eldora State House, Shultz-Leeper House, Castle Windy and sites on the ocean and Mosquito Lagoon..."

Ich freue mich, euch erzaehlen zu koennen, dass ich eine Einladung zu einem regionalen Mal-Ereignis bekommen und angenommen habe. 2011 Canaveral Seashore Paintout, 24.-29. Oktober. Es werden 26 Kuenstler auf den Strassen und am Meer von New Smyrna Beach malen, ein kleiner vertrauemter Ort suedlich von Daytona Beach. Ich freue mich schon, und werde natuerlich ausfuehrlich davon berichten. Das Wetter wird dann nun endlich kuehler sein.

I am going to post my artwork and an account, hopefully daily, once it gets underway. Please support the local arts and try to visit when we try to capture our local scenery. I am also going be included in a short interview on a local radio station WSBB on Thursday, Oct 6, at 8:45am. Please tune your radio to AM1230.

Ich werde auch ueber das Ereignis im Radio interviewt, naechste Woche, fuer ca. 2-3 Minuten. Wow, das Kribbeln im Bauch wird schon bald anfangen, haha...

In addition, the interview I had in Germany was finally printed after a major strike of the local newspapers there. See picture. It is about my artwork, how I got into plein air, and why I like to paint Florida scenery in addition to the scenes from Germany.

Ich moechte auch hinzufuegen, dass der Zeitungsreport endlich gedruckt wurde in den "Fraenkischen Nachrichten", fuer den ich waehrend unseres Urlaubs interviewt wurde. Es ging ueber meine Kunst, das Plein Air Malen, und die Unterschiede des Malens von deutschen und Floridianischen Szenen. Sehr ausfuehrlich und interessant.
