Last week saw the final wrap-up of the now month-long paintout, due to Hurricane Matthew. On Thursday we had a final sunset paintout for 2 hours of all artists still attending at the Outriggers Tiki Bar and Grille in New Smyrna Beach. Afterwards they held the live auction of about 35 paintings, most of which sold that night. It was a great finale, which much success.

Letzte Woche fanden die letzten Events des nun endlosen Paintouts statt, wegen Hurrikan Matthew. Am Donnerstag malten die Kuenstler fuer ca. 2 Stunden den Sonnenuntergang im neuen Outriggers Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach. Danach wurde die Live Auktion gehalten, wo die restlichen 35 Gemaelde fast alle eine neue Heimat fanden. Es war ein tolles, erfolgreiches Finale.

I am getting more into landscape painting and tackled the view to Chicken Island, with the clouds being lit up by the setting sun.
Ich male nun gerne mehr pure Landschaften, und fand die Wolken, die von der untergehenden Sonne beleuchtet waren, sehr reizvoll.

I sold all 3 paintings I had there, 2 still from October from the gallery, and the one I had painted that evening, without a frame, still wet. I was very happy.
Alle drei meiner Bilder, die in der Auktion erhaeltlich waren, wurden verkauft, miteingenommen das, was ich gerade Stunden vorher fertiggemalt hatte (sogar ohne Rahmen). Ich war uebergluecklich.
