50 - and a new goal!

WOW! Today I painted my 50th painting since Oct 08 when I started doing plein air (painting on location). Here is a collage of most of them. Yes, I have to admit, a few of them were duds, but - I also sold 4 of them so far! And I only started exhibiting 6 months ago!
My new goal for 2010 is to paint 100. There, I said it... it's public... now I have to keep my word... It's been fun, I learned a lot since that very first one 13 months ago, and without all of your guys' help, support, positive comments and nudging me forward I couldn't have done it. Thanks so much! Join me for the ride! Ruth
WOW!
Vielen Dank. Bis zum naechsten Mal! Tschuess, Eure Ruth

Congratulations, I am looking forward to it. Good luck, and you know it's very addictive so beware. On the other hand the more you paint plein air the more you learn to know you surrounding area, and that it isn't what you paint that matters but more how you paint it. Again good luck for the journey ahead I really enjoying the effort.

Thanks Rene! You're right, it is addictive. And with the beautiful weather down here in Florida it's easy to get out as much as possible and produce something. I can't imagine painting from photos anymore. I am trying to do less "scenes", and concentrate more on light and shadow play for its own sake, as in the last post of that doorway.

Toll!
